I was getting ready to build a glass building table ala Dave Platt.... then I came across your site. Your building with magnets changed my mind as glass being the ultimate surface.

So a month and a half later I've got a new table.

She's 8' x 3' 14 gauge steel laid on a torsion box, then the whole top is banded with 1"x6" Oak. I left the oak stand proud of the steel, then using a flush trim bit in my router leveled everything off.

Enclosed are some pictures, of your inspiration.

Now to get building some fixtures...
