If you are still using the Craftsman scroll saw (I have one too)this will make blade changing easier. If you are using pinless blades, you don't use the hex key on the left side. Back out the hex screw until the end of it is just to the left of center where the blade end rides. After you incert the blade, tighten down the red wing nut on the right side of the blade holder. That's all, no more lost allen wrenches! If you ever have problems with the blades coming loose from the holder while cutting here is another one I found out the hard way. Flying Dutchman blades have a thin sciff of oil on the blades to keep them from rusting. Wipe the blade ends down with alcohol then take a small piece of sandpaper folded in half and ruf up both ends of the blade, wipe 'em down again to remove the sandpaper residue. Since I started doing that I haven't had one come loose. Hope it helps. Happy scrolling!! |
